Come and join us at this year’s National Eisteddfod in Tregaron, 30 July to 6 August 2022

We are delighted to be back on the Maes at this year’s Eisteddfod in Tregaron, Ceredigion. Next week we will be joining Cadw, the Strata Florida Trust, Dyfed Archaeological Trust, and the National Heritage Lottery Fund to provide a week-long programme of activities, events and heritage information. Events will include a talk by our historic place names expert, Dr James January-McCann, in Pabell Cymdeithasau on Monday 1 August at 4pm: Pum Mlynedd o’r Rhestr Enwau Lleoedd Hanesyddol (Five Years of the List of Historic Place Names), performances by Mewn Cymeriad (the theatre company that stages productions on Welsh historical characters and stories) on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and workshops by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and Cadw. Every day we will also be offering a host of children’s activities: including experiencing Strata Florida and Tintern Abbey through a VR headset, making a clay tile like the famous medieval tiles at Strata Florida, creating a stained-glass window design, badge making, building your own Lego monument as well as colouring sheets and word searches.

Join us at the end of ‘Heritage Row’ (500 row) next to Amgueddfa Cymru. We will be offering a range of books with a special Eisteddfod show discount. We have also created a new range of free info-cards with striking images and details of current work and projects.

We look forward to seeing you and answering your heritage questions!
