Enriching The List …
In June 2016 Historic England launched ‘Enriching The List’, a development of the National Heritage List for England (NHLE), to enable those using it to add both additional information about the archaeological sites, historic buildings and protected wrecks on it and to contribute photographs of them.
With some 400,000 entries on The List, Historic England has received over 10,000 contributions to date, containing 15,000 images. Martin Newman, Listing Information Manager for Historic England, will be discussing how the platform was developed using open source technology and an Agile methodology. He will also take a look at the results and highlight how the project is delivering on outreach and engagement, as well as providing invaluable information for the organisation.
