Saint Padarn 1500

20 May, Saint Padarn 1500, 10.30am—4.30pm.  A day─school organised by Ceredigion Historical Society celebrating the 1500th anniversary of St Padarn and held in association with the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales and Cyfeillion Padarn Sant. Speakers include the Royal Commission’s senior archaeological investigator Dr Toby Driver, Ken Murphy (DAT) and Gerald Morgan (Friend of the Royal Commission) and Professor Janet Burton (University of Wales Trinity Saint David). The day will reveal the striking results of the geophysical survey of Gogerddan commissioned by the Royal Commission, Ceredigion Historical Society and Cyfeillion Padarn Sant. The morning session will be held in the Church Hall, Llanbadarn Fawr and the afternoon session will be held at Gogerddan with a visit to the multi-period ritual site associated with St.Padarn. Travel will be by private cars. Stout footwear and wet weather gear is advised. Delegates are advised to bring their own lunches.
