U-Boat Project 1914-18 – why the discoveries made so far are only the beginning…
The underwater surveys undertaken for the U-boat Project 1914–18: Commemorating the Welsh Experience of The Great War at Sea have provided startling new views of some of the 170 wrecks on the seabed associated with combat. The research carried out in local and national archives has uncovered much new information about the losses, as well as about the crews, passengers and links to our coastal communities. This talk will explore the many new directions that the research is now taking.
