Grand view of a rugby match

During a recent search through our collection of large Ordnance Survey vertical aerial photographic prints, we found a set from a flight that overflew Bridgend. One particular shot is directly over Brewery Field (NPRN 415289), home of Bridgend RFC. Weather conditions were ideal for showing ground details. The outline of the castle (NPRN 93036) can be seen in the lower left hand corner of the shot. The photograph was taken on the 8th of April 1989, at an altitude of 5,300ft, with a 12” lens, the film reference is 89-073, and the frame in question is No. 535.

The car park is full, and there is an important match in progress. As we know the date of the photograph, is it possible to know which teams are playing, and who won?
