
Job Vacancy – Geomatics Officer
Exciting new post within Survey and Investigation
The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales was established in 1908 and is the investigation body and national archive for the historic environment of Wales. We have a lead role in ensuring that Wales’s archaeological, built, and maritime heritage is authoritatively recorded. Based in Aberystwyth, our Survey & Investigation team comprises of specialist investigators covering archaeology, industrial archaeology, historic buildings and architecture, maritime archaeology and aerial survey and we are looking to strengthen the team by filling a new permanent full-time post.
Geomatics Officer
A central role in the team, working closely with our specialist investigators and providing geomatic expertise and support. The post holder will work across Wales and carry out survey in a variety of landscapes and environments on a range of archaeological sites, monuments, and historic buildings.
- Salary £25,860 to £29,430 per annum (plus benefits)
- 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements will be considered)
