Please leave your coats and bags in the National Library lockers provided. A £1 coin is required, which is returned when you retrieve your belongings from the locker.

Booking ahead is advisable so that we can have your material ready and save you time.
» When you arrive you’ll be asked to show two forms of ID (showing name and address) or a National Library of Wales Reader’s Ticket. (N.B. you don’t need a NLW Ticket to use the Royal Commission Library and Search Room).
» We’ll ask you to complete and sign a Visitor Form confirming that you accept Royal Commission’s Library and Search Room Rules.
» Please note that food and drink of any kind are not permitted in the Library and Search Room.
» Only pencils may be used in the Library and Search Room.
» Please ensure that mobile phones are either turned off or switched to ‘silent’ mode.
» As well as access to original material from our Archive, you’ll be able to browse our reference Library and have access to:

» All Royal Commission publications in print are available to buy.
Our friendly and professional Library and Enquiry Service staff are always available in the Search Room and will be happy to help you. Other specialist Royal Commission staff may also be available upon request, depending on their commitments.
