Volunteering in the Royal Commission’s Specialist Library

Do you like books?
Are you interested in archaeology, architecture, maritime archaeology, Welsh history or industrial archaeology?
Would you like to gain new skills to enhance your CV?
Do you have some free time?
Would you like the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn how a small specialist library operates?

If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of the above, come and volunteer in the Royal Commission’s Library.

We presently have several vacancies for volunteers. Opportunities include working with our rare and antiquarian book collections, preparing material for cataloguing and helping compile our monthly NMRW Bulletin. There will also be various opportunities to get involved in events held by the Royal Commission.

What you will gain from the experience:

  • Develop new skills and experience within the heritage sector
  • Meet new friends with similar interests
  • Support the work of the Royal Commission
Our team of volunteers.
